Open and edit Hangul documents in your browser
Read, change and save .hwp and .hwpx documents without Hangul installed. The editor is in beta.
- Works in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, nothing to install
- Documents stay in this browser; signed in, your five newest open on any device
- Save as PDF and print
How it works
- 1
Open
On the home page, pick or drop a .hwp or .hwpx file. A .hwp is converted to HWPX to open and uses one of today's conversions.
- 2
Edit
Change character and paragraph shapes, tables and more. Changes are saved to this browser automatically.
- 3
Save or export
Save as an HWPX document or PDF, or export Markdown and HTML.
Frequently asked questions
- Which browsers are supported?
- Chrome and Edge 103, Firefox 125 and Safari 16.4 or newer. Conversion works in other browsers too.
- Where are documents stored?
- In this browser. Signed in, your five newest documents (the file and a first-page preview) are kept in your account so you can continue on another device.
- What does beta mean?
- Not every Hangul feature is supported yet, so some formatting may look different. Your original file is never changed, so check the result before saving.
- Can I edit .hwp documents too?
- Yes. A .hwp is converted to HWPX when opened (one of today's conversions) and saved as .hwpx after editing. Saving back to .hwp is not available.
